The Frame Shop & Gallery Coffee

Hospitality, Quality Workmanship, and Personal Service

Whether it's your first time contemplating having something custom-framed or you've been doing it for years, we hope you'll come give us a chance to impress you. We are the best at what we do! Quality custom picture framing since 1963, and with an international award-winning framer!

Our professional designer can assist you in finding the perfect complement to your home and your personality - custom-made just for you. A good frame enhances the art; it can elevate something that looks tired and boring to something that looks fresh and new. It can also change the feel of the art simply by playing on different color tones or styles. You are only limited by your imagination!

When you bring your treasures to The Frame Shop for framing, be assured that we will walk you through the process from beginning to end. You don't need to know best practices for handling of your artwork because we are here to advise you. We'll make sure you understand current standards of care, explain the levels of preservation materials available, and help you choose the best options for your needs. We promise, we'll make the entire process as painless as possible!

As much as we love frames, that's not the only thing we do. We have a gallery full of original works by local and regional artisans because we also love sharing our culture and the talents to be found along the Cajun Coast of south Louisiana. Works include handmade jewelry, wood turnings, photography, pottery, mixed media pieces, oils and acrylics, sculpture, and more.

About Deborah

When you say home-grown business, that's us! I (Deborah) literally grew up in The Frame Shop,  honing my fine motor skills as a child by learning how to use a drill, a hammer, a nail set, and cut glass. Thankfully, my skills have improved over the years along with the technology!

You'd think growing up surrounded by art I would have pursued a degree having to do with fine arts. But no, I have a bachelor's degree in Office Management. I've put those skills to work over the years running a variety of offices and businesses, from working with Chevron engineers on a plant construction project, to managing the GM of Oakwood Shopping Center and Specialty Retail at Riverwalk, then moving on to a decor design & production company in Atlanta.

In 1999, I decided that home wouldn't be "home" without The Frame Shop, and I made the gargantuan decision to move back to Morgan City and work with my parents in the business. Best Decision Ever!! It has been a blast reconnecting with them and with people who have entrusted us with their framing since I was a baby. That's one of the reasons I decided to get my CPF certification. Custom framing is so much more than putting together four sticks of wood and slapping a picture inside with a piece of glass. I take my responsibilities as a framer very seriously, because I want to ensure that I'm following "best practice" guidelines on each and every piece I take on. I'm an educator as well as a framer. A designer as well as a craftsman. And a little bit of a chemist thrown in every now and again!
